Seth Kibel and the Kleztet return to the Katz Jewish Music Center at MMAE for an evening of klezmer, jazz, swing and more! One of the Mid-Atlantic’s premier woodwind specialists, Seth brings remarkable versatility to the clarinet, flute and saxophone. Together with the Kleztet, he blends the spirited sounds of traditional klezmer with jazz, swing and other musical influences for a performance filled with energy, improvisation and outstanding musicianship.

About The Artist

Seth Kibel has established himself as a leading woodwind performer in the Baltimore/Washington region, performing on clarinet, flute and saxophone across klezmer, jazz, swing and other genres. He has performed with The Kleztet, Bay Jazz Project, Music Pilgrim Trio, the Daryl Davis Band, The Natty Beaux and others.

A winner of 28 Washington Area Music Awards (Wammies), Seth has been recognized multiple times as both “Best World Music Instrumentalist” and “Best Jazz Instrumentalist.” His newest recording, Clarinet, Without a Net, was released in June 2026 on Azalea City Recordings and explores the intersection of jazz, Americana, klezmer and blues.

In addition to performing, Seth lectures on music history for institutions including the Osher Lifelong Learning programs at Johns Hopkins and Towson Universities.
