Tashlich Service

“Tashlich” means “casting off” in Hebrew and involves a ceremony symbolizing the casting off of your sins. October 7th, 2023 was the worst massacre of Jew since the Holocaust.

Join us at Lake Roland Park (1043 Lakeside Drive) on Monday, October 7th at 6:00pm for a special memorial Tashlich ceremony.

Just as we cast off our sins, should we cast off the sadness and pain of October 7th or should we cling to it tightly?

All ages are encouraged to attend.

Concert with Cantor Shlomo Abramson

Join us on Wednesday, October 9th at 7:30pm for a free concert featuring our very own Cantor Shlomo Abramson! There is no charge for this event and no RSVP is required.

A High Holidays Message From Rabbi Shapiro

Before anything else is said, it is important to remember that this past year was not a Shana Tova for our people. It was a year of disaster, war, worry, brutality, and growing antizionism and its twin, antisemitism. We strengthen ourselves, stand steadfast in our support of Israel, mourn the needless and wanton ending of so many holy lives, and pray that peace and tranquility will return soon. It’s so hard to stay optimistic, but if there is one message of the High Holidays and Teshuva, it is this: Never give up! The world, as well as each of us, can always change and get better!
