About The Concert

Join us at the Katz Jewish Music Center at MMAE for a special High Holidays concert featuring brothers Shlomo and Naftali Abramson, joining us from Israel.

Gifted vocalists, musicians and chazzanim, the Abramson brothers bring an evening of Jewish soul through heartfelt songs, rich harmonies and music inspired by the spirit, longing, hope and renewal of the High Holidays. Their performances blend original compositions, traditional Jewish melodies and contemporary musical influences for an uplifting and meaningful musical experience.

About the Performers

Brothers Shlomo and Naftali Abramson are Israeli singers and musicians with deep roots in Jewish music. Both have performed and recorded independently as well as together, bringing their own musical styles to traditional Jewish themes and melodies.

Shlomo Abramson is a singer-songwriter and chazzan whose music ranges from soulful Jewish melodies to contemporary Israeli rock and original compositions. He has released music both as a solo artist and with The Footsteps, with credits as a vocalist, songwriter and producer. Shlomo also has a longstanding connection with MMAE, where Baltimore audiences have come to know him through his years serving as a High Holidays cantor.

Naftali Abramson is a singer, composer and guitarist whose music draws from Jewish tradition while incorporating folk, rock and other contemporary influences. A longtime recording and performing artist, he has released multiple albums of Jewish music featuring both original compositions and interpretations of traditional and contemporary Jewish songs.

Together, Shlomo and Naftali combine their voices, musicianship and shared musical heritage in a performance especially suited to the season of reflection and renewal leading into the High Holidays.
