About the Concert

“The Jewish Fantasy” is a unique, interactive concert experience that invites audiences to enjoy beloved melodies, discover fascinating stories, and even take part in the music itself. This engaging program blends tradition, storytelling, and performance into an unforgettable evening for all.

Part I — The Jewish Suite:

The first half of the program features several movements from a suite inspired by the beloved musical Fiddler on the Roof. Original themes intertwine with traditional Jewish melodies, brought to life through fresh, vivid, and expressive new arrangements.

Part II — Songs Across Borders and Time:

The second half of the concert highlights beloved and contemporary songs in Hebrew, Yiddish, and English. Each performance is enriched with engaging stories about the origins and meaning behind the music, creating a deeper connection to the songs and their cultural roots.

About The Performers

Anna Kusner is an internationally acclaimed classical guitarist and a graduate of Jerusalem Academy of music. For more than 35 years she has taught classical guitar and has appeared on radio and television in Israel, as well as at international music festivals. Anna is a co-founder of the MusAlliance ensemble, known for its original arrangements of classical and folk music. Her playing is distinguished by virtuosity, refined musical taste, and deep emotional expressiveness.

Peter Omelchenko is a graduate of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, a virtuoso performer and arranger. For many years he was a soloist with the Osipov State Russian Folk Orchestra, touring extensively around the world. He came to the United States as an artist of extraordinary ability and has conducted the Washington Russian Folk Orchestra. Peter is the founder of the East-West Cultural Center in Baltimore and continues an active concert career.

Peter Slutsky is a baritone with a vivid stage presence. His repertoire includes operatic arias, folk songs, and popular music from various cultures. He has performed on prestigious stages throughout Europe and North America, captivating audiences with the depth of his interpretations and the warmth of his voice.
